How this list is made

The Decanter World Wine Awards are one of the biggest wine competitions: judges taste blind and score each wine out of 100. Bronze is 86 to 89 points, Silver 90 to 94, Gold 95 to 96 and Platinum 97 and up. We read every medal on the awards’ own results page, linked from each bottle. A medal is for one vintage, so we show it only when a shop names that vintage or the wine is non-vintage. Bottles come from Greenspoon, Chupa Chap, Wine254, The Wine Box and The Wine Shop Kenya.

The yellow sticker is the bottle’s average rating on Vivino, across all vintages: Vivino’s number, not ours. A Silver medal or better lowers our top-pick bar from 3.8 to 3.6 on Vivino; it never replaces the Vivino rating.

Prices and stock from Greenspoon, Chupa Chap, Wine254, The Wine Box and The Wine Shop Kenya, checked 17 October 2026. Ratings are community averages from Vivino, matched to each listing by name.
